Curriculum Materials
As part of the Gen Y class license, the Gen Y teacher receives curriculum materials designed to help manage and run the class. The materials have been carefully designed to reflect the best practices and experience gained from running Gen Y classes over the years.

These curriculum materials are designed to work with the online project and reporting tools to form a complete support system for the Gen Y teacher and class.

Generation Y Program and Curriculum guide (Printed book)
The printed curriculum guide is used by the teacher throughout the Gen Y class. This 238 page, sturdy ring-bound book is excellent for daily use and lays flat for copying. It is published by the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) and consists of:

Section I: Planning - 5 chapters dealing with program issues, best practices, and guidelines for organizing the class to best suit the school environment. (details)
Section II: Units - 10 detailed classroom units, each with multiple lesson plans and activities, preparation guides, classroom procedures, assessment and activity extensions. (details)
Standards - Alignment of Gen Y units to National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for Teachers and Students. (details)
Glossary - Technology and pedagogical terms used in the course.

Note: This guide is now in its second edition, with many changes and improvements over the original. If you would like to upgrade your old version, give us a call or contact us through the web site.

Infopages (CD-ROM and online)
103 printable guides for the teachers and students to use throughout the course. These consist of class handouts, surveys, planner pages, quizzes, and student resources. All info pages are on the Gen Y CD-ROM and also available online. The online materials are only accessible to teachers and students enrolled in a licensed Gen Y class.

Best Practices/First Hand Experiences (Video)
The included video is excellent for both teachers and students to fully experience the enthusiasm of Gen Y participants. Also useful to show to parents, administrators and potential partner-teachers, the video serves as a testimonial of student and teacher experiences with Gen Y.
