Objectives for Partner Teacher's Students:
Following completion of our project, students in my partner teacher's class will know more about Graham County history. They will also be able to run a scanner.

Objectives for Partner Teacher:
Following completion of our project, she will be able to use a number of programs on the computer incluing Avid Cinema. She will also know how to use a digital video camera and a color scanner. She will also know more about Graham County History.

Objectives for Gen www.Y Student:
Following completion of our project, I will be able to use a number of programs on the computer including Avid Cinema. I will also be able to use a digital video camera and a scanner. I will also know more about Graham County History.


 Materials and Equipment Requirements:
 

Hardware:
Sony digital video camera (DCR-TRV 900)
Apple ColorOne scanner (600/27) video projector
Macintosh G3 (Mac OS 8.6)

Software:
Avid Cinema (1.2.2b)
Adobe Photo Deluxe

 Procedures
 

1. My partner teacher and I will drive around Graham county and digitally record different historical sites such as terraces, electrical towers, grain elevators, historical buildings, oil rigs, and windmills using the digital video camera.

2. We will come back to the school and edit the film that we collected using Avid Cinema. We will also use a number of special effects while editting the video. One of the special effects that I will be using will be some type of music.

3. We will also include pictures, in Avid Cinema, that my partner teacher's students have collected. We will put the pictures on the presentation by scanning them.

4. We will show the video to her class by using a computer and a video projector.

5. We will test the class's knowlege by having them take a written test prepared bymyself and my partner teacher.

6. My partner teacher and I will then have a face-to-face interview to discuss the project and take the Profiler survey on the Internet.

Assessment strategies/indicators for my partner teacher's students:
I will have them take a written test that my partner teacher and I will come up with at a later date.

Assessment strategies/indicators for Gen www.Y student:
I will use the Profiler Online Collaboration Tool located at https://profiler.scrtec.org. I will take the Basic Skills Checklist survey before the beginning of the project and after it is completed. Any improvements will be recorded.
