 Objectives for Students in Partner Teacher's Class
  Objectives:
Following completion of our project, students in my partner teacher's class will know more about Graham County history. They will also be able to run a scanner.

Assessment Strategies:
At the end of our project, they took a written test that my partner teacher and I came up with. They took the test in their Kansas History class.

Results:
We believe that the objectives of the students were reached. They did well on the written test.


 Objectives for Partner-Teacher
  Objectives:
After completing our project, she was able to use a number of programs on the computer incluing Avid Cinema. She also knows how to use a digital video camera and a color scanner. She learned more about Graham County history.

Assessment Strategies:
She used the Profiler Online Collaboration Tool located at https://profiler.scrtec.org. She took the Basic Skills Checklist survey at the beginning of the project and after it was completed.

Results:
Mrs. Zohner scored better on the Basic Skills Checklist the second time she took it.


 Objectives for Generation www.Y Student
 

Objectives:
After completing our project, I am now able to use a number of programs on the computer including Avid Cinema. I am able to use a digital video camera and a scanner. I know more about Graham County history.

Assessment Strategies:
To assess my improvement in my skills with technology, I took the Basic Skills Checklist found at https://profiler.scrtec.org .

Results:
I improved my score on the Basic Skills Checklist by learning more about technology. Also, I learned more about Graham County history.

 Procedures:
 

1. My partner teacher and I drove around Graham County and digitally recorded different historical sites such as terraces, electrical towers, grain elevators, historical buildings, oil rigs, various types of barns, and windmills using the digital video camera.

2. We came back to the school and edited the film that we collected using Avid Cinema. We also used a number of special effects while editing the video. One of the special effects that I used was a CD that my partner teacher had.

3. We also included pictures, in Avid Cinema, that my partner teacher's students collected. We put the pictures on the presentation by scanning them.

4. We showed the video to her class by using a Macintosh G3 and a video projector.

5. We tested the class's knowledge by having them take a written test about what was included on the video prepared by myself and my partner teacher.

6. My partner teacher and I had a face-to-face interview to discuss the project and then the both of us took the Profiler survey on the Internet.

Indicator 1: The student describes the experiences of explorers who came to Kansas before statehood (i.e., Lewis & Clark, Pike, Coronado, Long).

 Student Feelings
 

Student's pleasant feelings about the project:
I had a lot of fun creating our project this semester with my partner teacher. I also learned a lot about technology and Graham County history.

Student's unpleasant feelings about the project:
The only unpleasant memory I had was that I had to miss school to film the video.
