Generation YES Project Archive
For over a decade, Generation YES projects have supported youth around the world and in many communities. This is a partial list of these ongoing projects and a few examples of older projects.
The Gabriel Ologun Education Fund "My goal as a young boy has been to obtain a medical degree from a United States University, and return to my home community to establish a health clinic in Narayi Kaduna, Nigeria and in neighboring communities." Generation YES has established a scholarship fund for Gabe "The Gabriel Ologun Education Fund"; all funds received for Gabe's education are passed on directly to SUNY Albany in its entirety for Gabe's tuition and college expenses. Website Created for IICAN Generation YES worked with the International Interactive Community Access Network (IICAN) to help them create a website. Students in their organization maintain the site. IICAN's mission is to use technology to decrease the academic achievement gap for K - 20 students of color in collaboration with Tacoma/South Puget Sound Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement Program (MESA) along with community and faith-based organizations. |

Academic Mentor Program (AMP) AMP is a program created by Community Youth Services and Generation YES. Student participants learn leadership and communication skills necessary to help mentor youth in basic language arts and math needs. |

Teacher/Student Partnership Training Workshops Generation YES and The After School Corporation (TASC) partnered to design a full-day workshop for New York City teachers entitled "Students and Adults Partnering for Success." The workshop taught site-level personnel how to involve young people in meaningful ways at every level of capability. Participants learned practical ways that students can be taught to contribute to the overall success of any after-school program. |
