Check It Out
As the Aspirations in Computing Program grows, so does its prestige. Eleven award recipients represented NCWIT at the White House during three separate events over the last year: White House Champions of Change for Women and Girls in STEM, the White House Science Fair, and the Tech Inclusion Roundtable.
One Aspirations superstar spoke to the entertainment industry about STEM in the media at an Entertainment Industries Council event with Deputy Director for Policy, Thomas Kalil, from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She was chosen in part because of her submission to the Aspirations in Computing Video Challenge.
This summer, Aspirations in Computing recipients — including several high-school students — interned at NCWIT member organizations like Bank of America, Bloomberg, Google, Microsoft, and Qualcomm. These young women are top-notch! Check out the Award blog to read more about what they’ve been up to this summer.
