Unit 10: Wrapping Up Overview
The purpose of this final unit is to describe a variety of end-of-term
activities and tasks that provide students and teachers the opportunity
to reflect on the Generation Y program and celebrate their accomplishments.
First, we will provide a rationale for submitting a final edited version
of the Project Organinzing and Reporting Tool (PORT), as well as instructions
and tips for how best to guide students through the steps of this summative
task. An optional activity enabling teachers to assess the quality of
student/partner-teacher collaboration is also provided.
Secondly, there will be a brief consideration of the online post surveys
and their importance to the Gen Y program. Suggestions will also be presented
for how the compiled results of these surveys might be used to promote
and extend the Gen Y program in schools.
And finally, we will present suggestions and tips on various celebratory
activities enabling Gen Y students to share the results of their work
with the larger school community. Next step suggestions will also be
presented for those Gen Y students who wish to continue in the development
of both their technical and collaborative skills, in support of their
schools and communities.
