College Credit for Gen Y Partner-Teachers
Registration Details
Registration for this course is on hold for the current semester. Please call the Generation YES office for more information. (888) 941-4369
Partner teachers working with a Generation Y student are eligible to receive one semester college credit (can translate to clock 15 hours) from Washington State University (WSU) to help retain your teaching certificate.
To receive the credit, partner teachers will need to register for the course with the WSU Distance Degree Program (DDP). They will complete the online PORT with their Generation Y student partner and send it in for consultation, deliver the lesson in their class, complete the results section of the PORT, complete the partner teacher post survey, maintain a journal, and write a short narrative essay of their experience. Just about what they already do if they participate in the standard Generation Y program. Learn more by reading our press release.
Dr. Patrick Gill and Dr. Dennis Harper are the official course instructors. If you have any questions about the class itself then please contact our Generation Y office.
