Welcome to the Generation YES Express
The 2003-2004 School Year - How time flies! Summer is always a busy time for Generation YES. We use our ?quiet? time to: (1) complete the previous school year's evaluation, (2) enhance our website and prepare new materials, and (3) train new Generation Y and Generation TECH schools.
I had many wonderful days training scores of new Gen Y teachers in places such as El Centro (CA), Normal and Rantoul (IL), Green Bay (WI), San Antonio (TX), Macon (GA), and Port Chester (NY). It?s inspiring and encouraging to work with such wonderful, dedicated educators and students throughout the country who are eager to participate in a new learning adventure. I'm looking forward to the upcoming school year with a renewed sense of purpose and focus on improving learning through technology by including students in this most important process.
Forward,
Dennis Harper
What's New at Generation YES
New Generation YES Schools ? No Child Left Behind
Major implementations of Generation Y are beginning in New York, Texas, Illinois, California, Utah and Wisconsin. All these projects are utilizing No Child Left Behind Title IID (EETT) federal funds to deliver Generation Y. Our first schools ever from Nebraska, North Dakota, Montana, Mississippi, Georgia, and Connecticut will join our existing schools in the fall. A complete list of Generation Y schools can be found at:

Generation TECH Takes Off
Two major Generation TECH (https://genyes.org/programs/gentech) initiatives began this summer. Utah's Cybercorp program based in Cedar City (https://www.cybercorps.k12.ut.us/home.html) trained schools in 27 districts throughout the state to implement the Generation TECH model of students caring for infrastructure. An additional 23 schools in California's Imperial and San Diego counties are also starting Generation TECH for the first time.
