Procedures | |
We met with our partner teacher to gather our information on the Graham County Cemeteries. We went to the public library to get all our information on geneology. We then decided that we would create a Web page.
First, we used Claris HomePage to create our project. We made links on our main page that lead to each cemetery. On starting each individual cemetery, we chose patriotic colors such as red, white, and blue. To go with our theme, we added an animated American Flag and Kansas Flag to each page. We typed the death dates and the names of each person and filed them alphabetically. There is no other bio-information on them. After we had filed them, we made the changes to improve the page, such as checking the dates and spelling. We did as many cemeteries as we could this semester. Then after making sure that everything was correct and accurate, we scheduled a date and a time to show it to our partner teacher. The URL of the main page is https://www.usd281.com/lms/grahamcounty.htm. |

Student Feelings | |
Student's
pleasant feelings about the project: During our Gen Y year, we learned how to set up a Web page on the Internet, and how to look up information. This year was really fun for us. |
|
Student's
unpleasant feelings about the project: There were some negative memories through the Gen Y year. One of them was when we forgot to file the names alphabetically and had to start over. |
