 Objectives for Partner-Teacher's Students

Objectives:
At the completion of my project the students in my partner-teacher's class will have the ability to use a digital camera successfully, download dictures from the digital camera or the Internet, onto photo-finishing software; and able to use the software to enhance future projects.

Assessment Strategy:
To assess the students I will give them a checklist they will have to complete. By the completion of the checklist, I'll know the level of participation and if they understood the content of my project.

Results:
When I evaluated the students 79% said they would find techniques learned in my project useful for future assignments, 21% said they would maybe or not find techniques learned helpful in future assignments. 84% of the students said some of the techniques learned would help them in the distant future, 16% said they wouldn't. 89% found the project fun 11% said they would rather be doing something else. 75% said they learned something from my project, 25% said they didn't. Students comments were enthusiastic and pleasing to read, majority of the class found this project worthwile.

 Objectives for Partner-Teacher

Objectives:
When my project has met its end my partener-teacher will be able to use a digital camera and photo-finishing software in future projects with efficiency.

Assessment Strategy:
My teacher will use digital imaging and want to work with it again.

Results:
My partner-teacher loved my project and said she'd be more then willing to embrace it and do it all over again, my only flaw she stated was that I had talked too fast when instructing students on how to convert digital-pictures over to a text document, but most students caught on.

 Objectives for Generation www.Y Student

Objectives:
After the conclusion of my project I will be able to teach the students to use a digital camera boldly. I will have taught my partner-teacher how to apply a digital camera and software in projects more often.

Assessment Strategy:
The teacher will recive a rubric to evaluate me on with a section for questions and comments.

Results:
Overall I found out that my project was a worth-wile project, and students and partner-teacher alike would like to use it in the future.

 Materials and Equipment Requirements

Hardware:
digital cameras, computers, and floppy disks

Software:
Adobe PhotoDeluxe:

Other:
None

 Procedures

First, I'll teach the students manually, how to use a digital camera. They will learn the basics, how to insert the disk, take the picture, basically operating the camera. As a follow up project, the students will recieve a scavenger hunt. This will give them practice with the camera so they become more comfortable when using it. The hunt will include clues to where they will find certain objects. Then they'll have to take a picture of the objects on to a floppy disk.

Secondly, I'll teach the students how to use photo-finishing software. In this case, we'll use Adobe PhotoDelux. They'll learn the basics of fixing and enhancing digital photos. From the floppy disk they saved their scavenger-hunt photos on, they'll lean to download their pictures into the software. With these "practice photos" they'll explore the different enhancement and editing options of the photo program.

Next, the students will receive story-starters. The students will have to weave a short story. To illustrate, the students will have to gather pictures using the internet and/or the digital camera. After that they'll use the photo-finishing software to enhance and edit their pictures.

 Student Feelings

Student's pleasant feelings about the project:
I feel my project gave students a chance to use their imaginations in this literal world. They complied and were more than happy with their choise of story-starters. My partner-teacher was supportive, and open-minded which made teaching the class easier. Overall it was tons of fun!

Student's unpleasant feelings about the project:
If I could go back and do this all over again I would be more strict when trying to talk to students, many times they interupted me, or didn't listen; which forced me to explain everything more than 3 times!
