 Objectives for Students in Partner-Teacher's Class
 

Objectives:
The students will be introduced to one of the thirteen chapters in our science book using PowerPoint presentations.

Assessment Strategies:
The students will answer the questions at the end of each of the four sections. They will answer the review questions at the end of the chapter. The students will take a chapter test.

Results:
The students will acheive scores of 60% for a grade of a "D", 70% for a "C", 80% for a "B", and 90% for an "A". [The PowerPoint presentations were completed but will not be presented until next fall, so there are no actual results to report at this time.]


 Objectives for Partner-Teacher
 

Objectives:
My partner teacher will be able to send and receive e-mail and use a PowerPoint presentation in her teaching.

Assessment Strategies:
I will send my partner-teacher e-mails and interview her about how she liked using the PowerPoint presentations.

Results:
She was able to receive and reply to my e-mail messages with no problem. She will not be using the PowerPoint presentations until next fall.


 Objectives for Generation www.Y Student
 

Objectives:
I will learn how to use the computer, to e-mail, to use the Internet, and PowerPoint.

Assessment Strategies:
I will observe how well I use e-mail (sending, receiving, using address books, replying and forwarding). I will also observe other students' PowerPoint presentations.

Results:
I easily sent and recieved e-mails. I will easily construct and present PowerPoint presentations.

 Procedures
 

1. We identified the science chapter that we planned to introduce.

2. We craeated a storyboard of the chapter.

3. We identified the pictures or drawings that we wanted to use.

4. We scanned the pictures and placed them on the server for easy access later.

5. We set up PowerPoint with the necessary number of slides, then imported the scanned pictures.

6. We wrote captions that relected the pictures that we scanned.

7. We cut and pasted the captions into PowerPoint.

8. We utilized options that PowerPoint provides and spruce up the presentation.

9. We presented the presentation to our classmates.
